BackThe Haworth Art Gallery has a number of fun, creative and cultural events planned across the summer from July to September.
Lots to see and do at the Haworth Art Gallery over the Summer holidays - you can choose from exhibitions, camera clubs and cultural conversations, to workshops and free arts club sessions for kids.
Exhibitions
1/6/2024 – 14/7/2024 – Accrington Camera Club Retrospective
This year sees a break with tradition as members select prints from their own archives which demonstrate their interests, and expertise in developing technologies.
27/7/2024 – 15/9/2024 – David Youds
David Youds presents the first solo exhibition of his work. This exhibition of new work is inspired by the people and places in and around Hyndburn.
27/7/2024 – 15/9/2024 - Unlocked: A Celebration of Recovery Journeys in Secure Mental Health
The Unlocked project is part of a wider initiative within the Guild Lodge NHS facility, Lancashire, to promote the benefits of art on mental health and raise awareness and understanding of complex mental health conditions.
21/9/2024 – 6/10/2024 - Black Artisans
The Black Artisans showcases and celebrates established UK based Black Artisans through a travelling photography exhibition. This exhibition will also feature the heritage crafts the artisans make using skills that are at risk of being lost.

Join artists Cassandra Batterby and Mark Love creating artworks with limited materials, and using a range of techniques.

- 14th July - Make fantastic, fantasy flowers
- 28th July - Create a fishy mobile inspired by Haworth Art Gallery’s aquamarine vase
- 11th August - Create your own pop-up paper peacock
- 25th August - Design and make your own windmill
- 9th September - Make a finger puppet and a funny face & feet bookmark
- 22nd September - Create a September brooch to welcome in
- the harvest
