Arts Council - Diversity Development Day
Tuesday 24th September 2024 01:00 PM to 04:00 PM
The Hive, 51 Lever Street, Manchester, M1 1FN
BackOpen day and advice-giving event to support and encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds across the North
Open day and advice-giving event for applicants for our National Lottery Project Grant and Develop Your Creative Practice funding programmes. Individuals and organisations from diverse backgrounds across the North will be able to meet Arts Council England staff, increase their knowledge of our funding programmes, network and hear from some of our funded organisations.
As a development agency, we recognise that we need to do more to support global majority and deaf, disabled/neurodivergent artists to confidently apply for our funding. This event has been designed to do just that! Come and meet our staff including members of our access team, find out key information about available funding and meet other creatives and organisations from the cultural sector.
During the event, we’ll invite you to:
- Listen to a short introductory presentation about Arts Council England and our funding programmes.
- Meet one of our funded organisations and learn about their Arts Council funded activity.
- Network with Arts Council staff, colleagues from across the sector and fellow potential applicants in meeting rooms and in our shared working spaces on the ground floor of The Hive.
- Have an informal, one to one conversation with a member of Arts Council staff about your project or development idea.
