New Pendle Artist Residency Opportunities
14 September 2020
In Situ has announced two exciting new short artists residencies for Lancashire-based artists as part of The Gatherings programme. Deadline for applications is 4th October 2020.
In Situ is working in partnership with the Pendle Hill Landcape Partnerships on a four-year programme called The Gatherings. This project aims to reconnect people and place, with a focus on the meaning people glean from their local heritage and landscape.
As part of the programme, In-Situ has created their Testing Ground residencies. They are inviting Lancashire-based artists to spend time in the local area, developing new works and ideas, and engaging with the community as part of this process. There are two short residencies, one of which is for emerging artists within the first three years of their practice.
These residencies are intended to:
• Provide artists with the space, time and support to develop their ideas
• Develop new ways of working with people with support from an experienced team
• Create a platform for artists to share their work with audiences and engage with the local community
