Festival UK* 2022
10 September 2020 by Ed
Festival UK* 2022 is a major nationwide festival showcasing the UK’s creativity and innovation to the world. Festival UK* 2022 is inviting expressions of interest from Creative Teams for a funded R&D project to create compelling, ambitious and jaw-dropping public engagement acts on a global scale.
The opportunity
Festival UK* 2022 has a bold vision to bring people together to celebrate the power of creativity, calling for collaboration from teams across five sectors: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics.
Festival UK* 2022 is inviting Creative Teams (made up of organisations and individuals from across the STEAM sectors) to apply to take part in a paid R&D project. This is a £3m funded R&D project (with 30 selected teams each being awarded up to £100k), at the end of which all ideas will be exhibited as a snapshot of the UK’s creativity, to inspire future generations.
Four commissions will be led by Creative Teams from England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales and six will be driven by Creative Teams from across the UK. Up to 10 Creative Teams (selected from the 30 teams participating in the R&D project) will be shortlisted to have their idea taken into full commission and be part of the Festival UK* 2022 public project which will be launched in Autumn 2021.
Our Creative Advisors will be working alongside the Festival UK* 2022 team to support, inspire, provoke and challenge Creative Teams during the R&D project.
