Captured across diverse locations - from Northern England to Germany and the United States, these images are linked not by place, but by their vivid colours, surreal compositions, and ambiguous subjects. The work focuses on the fleeting, everyday visuals that surround us, regardless of where we are.
Jack Bolton is an internationally published and exhibited visual artist and photographer from Blackburn, England currently based between Leeds and Lancashire. Bolton’s practice blurs the line between documentary and abstract photography, exploring the unexpected in everyday spaces. Working primarily in naturally lit urban environments, Bolton seeks out surreal moments, striking compositions, and intriguing patterns, colours, and textures from the places they pass through and reside in.
Alongside this, the artist also creates portrait and editorial photography, often injecting a similar style.
