Northern Powerhouse Trade Mission to SXSW 2017

Music, Film and Interactive

10th - 19th March 2017 - Austin, Texas, USA

The Department for International Trade (DIT) are supporting companies from the Northern Powerhouse region to attend the SXSW conference in the Interactive, Film and Music sectors.

We also plan to hold a Northern Powerhouse showcase at the British Music Embassy showcasing bands from the region, and to use the opportunity to promote the Northern Powerhouse region and its creative talent to the rest of the world.

About SXSW

SXSW Interactive Conference (10th - 14th March, 2016) is an incubator cutting-edge technologies, digital creativity and unforgettable inspirational experiences that only SXSW can deliver.

SXSW Film Festival & Conference (10th - 18th March, 2016) champions the vitality, innovation and opportunity that drive entertainment and media, and boldly tackles the evolution of all aspects of “film” today, down to its very definition.

SXSW Music Festival and Conference (13th - 19th March, 2016) offers unmatched access to ideas and global viewpoints on an increasingly borderless industry and showcases over 2,200 acts ranging from the unsigned to the iconic.
