Daniel Davidson - Colour of Music

Lancashire based artist Daniel Davidson is currently exhibiting his first solo show at Prism Contemporary Art Gallery in Blackburn

Time & Date: Sunday 16th December to Thursday 31st January

Daniel Davidson has been creating art in various forms for 25 years. After leaving school and studying Graphic Arts, Daniel moved into sign design/manufacturing learning the essentials of placement and spacing of image and text.

After several years in this field, Daniel embarked on a career in music working with EMI/Virgin Records, which enabled him to get involved in the creative process of writing music whilst creating an accompanying visual, in the form of illustration and moving image. As Daniel’s obsession with visual creativity increased, more of his focus and energy has been channelled into responding to eclectic references and moving towards a unique and recognisable style.

Colour of Music is Daniel's latest creative venture. He is currently exhibiting his first solo show at Prism Contemporary Art Gallery in Blackburn and has work on display at Artistry House in Preston, as part of the Atlantic Contemporary Art Collection - check for times.

To mark the occaision we recently interviewed Daniel for the latest in our series of Conversations in Creativity where he reveals more about his unique process and inspirations for his work.

"I know how important my creativity is to my wellbeing. It is the ability to breathe deep, clean air. I love breathing clean air."
