Conversations In Creativity with Simon Aldred – Cherry Ghost

‘Words and Music’ at St John’s Minister, Preston

Hosted by Dave Haslam (Author, Journalist & DJ)

SoundBytes proudly presents a very special ‘Words and Music’ session with the phenomenal Cherry Ghost.

This is a unique opportunity to hear from the Ivor Novello winning Simon Aldred about his career, songwriting, life on the road, and latest album. The session will also be interspersed with acoustic performances from Cherry Ghost’s catalogue.

From the award winning ‘People Help The People’, through to a co-write on Sam Smith’s latest hit ‘Leave Your Lover’ Simon Aldred has been crafting immaculate songs for nearly a decade. Most recently, working alongside Richard Hawley’s producer, Colin Elliot, Cherry Ghost have released their third studio album ‘Herd Runners’ to critical acclaim, and have just completed a string of UK live dates, as well as a recent tour with Paul Heaton.

SoundBytes is delighted to be able to bring Cherry Ghost to Preston for a very special evening at St John’s Minister, for what promises to be a memorable and a truly inspirational insight into the work of an incredible songwriter and musician.

‘Cherry Ghost – Words and Music’ is part of the SoundBytes Music Conference 2014.
