Have you ever wondered how Donna started out, where she gets her inspiration or what her favourite animal creation is? For our first Conversation in Creativity  of 2014, Donna will be giving a talk answering all these and any burning questions of your own

Last year marked the 10th Anniversary of the company that Donna started whilst making odd knitted creatures for her final show at the Royal College of Art.

Originally from Scotland, Donna runs a studio and workshop in London. Donna and her team knit, sew and export products to individuals and design houses accross the globe.

Passionate about creating products that people can connect with, the studio is committed to making things that  customers will treasure, using UK based manufacturers and suppliers wherever possible, doing her bit to keep craftsmanship alive.

In 2010 Donna won the coveted accolade of 'Designer of the Year' at Elle Decoration's British Design Awards. She recently exhibited a solo show of knitted sculptures and paintings, entitled 'Endangered Species', at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and has many other exciting projects planned for the year ahead.

As a forerunner of the contemporary craft movement, Donna has always remains true to her principles, using traditional techniques and UK-based suppliers wherever possible, helping to support Britain’s dwindling manufacturing trades.
