Beverley Wood

Beverley Wood Design

Bev has spent the majority of her design career in London but moved to Lancashire in the millennium year of 2000 to focus on her family and re-address the work/life balance. Born in the North East town of Darlington Bev now lives and has her Interior Architectural consultancy business, BWD Limited, in Lytham St Anne’s.

Bev’s career in the creative industry spans more than 28 years. Bev started her design journey in London as a BA Hons graduate in Furniture and Product Design from Kington-Upon-Thames.  Her brand and design
know-how comes from having worked for clients such as Motorola, InterCity, British Airports Authority and London Underground.

Bev’s furniture design experience comes from having worked for communication giant JC Decaux, where she designed many of their street furniture solutions and advertising columns you see in our streetscapes today.

Bev’s migration into commercial interiors came mid-way through her career when she moved to a retail interiors practice.  The practice worked exclusively for the retail giant the Arcadia Group. Bev worked as consultant and then in a client role for the Arcadia Group. Bev’s move northwards came about following the completion of seven of Arcadia’s brands shop fits into the new Bluewater Park Shopping development in 1999.

Bev is now owner and Creative Director of interior architects Beverley Wood Design.  Aside from running her very successful creative consultancy, Bev has many other business interests in the region.  She sits on the committee of the St Anne’s on-the-sea Partnership and an external lecturer at UCLan and Preston’s College.
